Repetition is the mother of knowledge
Yesterday, I liked everything Nóri showed me so much that, thanks to the good weather and the fact that it's Monday and there will be fewer people on the roads and at the sights, I decided to go to a few places we've been to and try out a few trails and walking routes with the dogs.
We started at Parai Ursa (Bear Beach), winding our way around the bends in glorious sunshine, winding our way along the steep, narrow path. I let Zserbó off the leash so that he wouldn't accidentally pull me off the path, which was full of rolling stones. It was a wonderful adventure, we really enjoyed it. Panka was in her element, running around like a little mountain goat and seemingly completely unafraid of heights. She stood so bravely on the edge of the rocks that I was amazed.
I took some very nice photos of the dogs and the landscape. From there, we went to a café at the top of the dunes, where, after some delicious pastries and a caffeine boost, we walked along the wooden walkway through the dunes to the ocean shore, where I had thrown the roses into the water yesterday. We climbed down to the water, and Zserbo immediately found some dogs to sniff and disappeared to chase them among the rocks and stones. Panka followed me everywhere, and I was even able to take some photos of her, which is quite an achievement!
I sat on a rock by the water's edge, Panka beside me, Zserbo running around with a dog of similar size. It was a wonderful feeling to sit there, watching and listening to the ocean. The tremendous primal force roaring within it, the waves constantly crashing against the shore, shaping and carving the landscape. The colors: the water, the crests of the waves, the rounded pebbles, the rocks, sometimes dark, sometimes light, the blue sky.
The whole situation was very idyllic, and I only jumped up when a big wave almost covered us. Because water is the master, and it can move even the most contemplative visitor if it feels like it.
I gathered Zserbo and we set off for home in the car. Slowly, we took our time. We got home at half past three, just before the dogs' dinner time. I let them rest for a while, then they got their dinner. At 6:00 p.m., I took them for a nice walk, and they enjoyed the new smells and unfamiliar streets. Panka behaves very well without a leash and always listens to me. Zserbo is a little mischievous, still quite boisterous even at the age of five, and of course, he is interested in everything.
After the walk, I left them at the accommodation, took a short stroll around the neighborhood, and went to dinner at a nearby restaurant. I had an avocado and salmon salad accompanied by a glass of dry wine. A group of Italians was sitting at the table next to me. I happened to look over just as the approximately 80-year-old Mamma was showing her grandchild (?) some lacy underwear on her smartphone. It was a very sweet scene. A real Italian atmosphere, with lots of laughter. It was nice to listen to them.
At home, I looked through the photos, saved them on my computer and external data storage devices, wrote my Saturday report, and then performed the usual evening ceremony: going up to the reception to do the eye drops for the dogs, potty time, then getting myself ready for bed.
