We arrived in Genoa, and the accommodation here is also really great. It has its own enclosed garden, which is a brilliant extra with two dogs. The trip was fine, the kids are great! The last 50 km, though, was pretty brutal—one sharp turn after another—but I handled it well. I found parking 20 metres from the accommodation, which is fantastic because I have to carry in a lot of stuff. While I’m hauling things, I leave the doggies in the car. They’re so sweet and patient.
Genoa is a truly bustling city; Gerbeaud wants to sniff everything, but REALLY EVERYTHING — I love his curiosity. People are kind; they let their dogs come over so mine can sniff them. The vibes are good.
Oh, and I had to stop at a red light. Across from me, a street sign: "Davidi Menni". So I’m like, this surely means "David says you have to go". In Hungarian "menni" means "to go". I’m taking this as a sign too, that I am doing the right thing. I go. I go after my dreams. What else could it be, if not a sign, right?
